2026In-place grammar and spelling fixes on macOS. Select text in any app, press ⌃⌥⌘F. Minimal edits, named outcomes. Stores no text.
Problem
Most writing helpers live in their own window. You leave the doc, accept a rewrite, paste back, and hope the wrong app didn't get the keystrokes.
What I built
A macOS menu-bar app. Select text in any app, press ⌃⌥⌘F, and the selection is replaced in place with a corrected version from a model you choose. Every Fix is a Grammar Fix bound by Minimal Edit: typos and grammar slips only. It never translates, restyles, changes tone, or reflows. Protected Terms stay untouched, a Locale Pin fixes the language variant, and Revert restores the original. Bring your own Connection: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter, Ollama, LM Studio, or a custom endpoint, keys in Keychain. A Fallback Connection takes over when the primary provider is unreachable. Re-checks the target before paste so it won't type into the wrong window. Every Fix ends in a named outcome, never silently. Stores no text. Swift 6.2, AppKit + SwiftUI, macOS 14+.
Status
WIP. Not shipped. Self-signed, not notarized, no public release yet. Cross-app proof incomplete. Gate does not catch every short restyle. No preview or history; Revert lasts one session. Formerly Wordmender.
